Presentació
El Mediterrani és un regne de somnis llunyans i realitats dures. Al llarg d'aquest curs, examinarem el concepte de la Mediterrània i la seva evolució des de perspectives múltiples, estudiarem el patrimoni cultural i natural del Mediterrani amb tota la seva diversitat i riquesa, i parlarem d'oportunitats i desafiaments contemporanis que ens poden ajuntar o allunyar. Durant el curs, es treballaran casos pràctics i es realitzaran activitats amb la finalitat d'ampliar l'horitzó dels alumnes i reptar la percepció que tenen del Mediterrani.

Adquirir un enteniment de la complexitat i la riquesa del Mediterrani i l'evolució del concepte;

Apreciar el patrimoni mediterrani per la seva diversitat, excepcionalitat i fragilitat;

Entendre l'actualitat que marca la vida al Mediterrani i el seu veïnatge.
Competències/Resultats d’aprenentatge de la titulació
- CN01 - L’estudiantat serà capaç d’analitzar i interpretar imaginaris, llenguatges icònics, simbòlics i de representació en el context de les disciplines humanístiques.
- CN02 - L’alumnat serà capaç d’identificar models i polítiques propis de diferents cultures i grups migratoris, així com dels seus contextos històrics.
- CP05 - L’estudiantat serà capaç d’analitzar les estructures socioculturals, històriques i artístiques, des del respecte pels drets fonamentals d’igualtat entre homes i dones, utilitzant un llenguatge que eviti l’androcentrisme i els estereotips.
- HB01 - L’estudiantat serà capaç de reflexionar sobre temes d’índole cultural, social, científica o ètica a partir de la interpretació de dades rellevants.
- HB02 - L’estudiantat serà capaç d’explicar idees, problemes i solucions a un públic tant especialitzat com no especialitzat.

- HB11 - L’alumnat serà capaç d’analitzar críticament les manifestacions culturals i artístiques, a partir de la comprensió del seu context històric, per al desenvolupament d’una perspectiva intercultural i una comprensió profunda del món contemporani.
- HB13 - L’estudiantat serà capaç de relacionar, a partir de la seva prèvia interpretació, dades derivades de les observacions amb les teories adequades.
- HB17 - L’estudiantat serà capaç d’utilitzar instruments de recopilació de dades amb alta capacitat d’autonomia, com ara catàlegs bibliogràfics, inventaris d’arxiu, fonts documentals, referències electròniques i altres recursos.
Resultats d’aprenentatge de l’assignatura
Al final del curs, els alumnes han de tenir la capacitat per a:
Identificar i participar en els debats actuals sobre el Mediterrani a molts nivells, explorant la riquesa, diversitat, sofisticació i excepcionalitat del patrimoni mediterrani; examinar l'equilibri delicat entre els éssers humans i la natura, així com l'impacte de l'activitat humana sobre el medi ambient i la regió mediterrània; analitzar les identitats del Mediterrània a través d'una anàlisi comparativa i un estudi dels múltiples beneficiaris; estudiar els factors claus (històrics, culturals, polítics...) que uneixen o divideixen la gent in la regió; desenvolupar un enteniment profund de termes rellevants; aplicar un pensament crític a diferents maneres d'expressió cultural (artístics, literaris, intangibles, etc.).

L'avaluació de l'assignatura es realitzarà a través de l'assistència i participació a classe, i la simulació d'un Model de les Nacions Unides adaptat a un tema d'impacte en la cultura i el patrimoni mediterranis.
