Presentation

The Master's Degree in Law and Legal Practice at UIC Barcelona is designed so that students can acquire a solid education in order to move on to work in the legal profession, and at the same time, specialise in areas that offer the most professional opportunities.

The specialisation you will achieve via the Postgraduate Degree in Corporate Mergers &Acquisitions will prepare you to work in the legal profession in the field of business operations involving fusions, acquisitions and similar.

Taught in conjunction with Ernst&Young (EY), this specialisation will prepare you for professional work in the field of business operations involving fusions and acquisitions, with a teaching method involving «learning by doing», where through practical cases and simulations of real professional situations, you will achieve effective and comprehensive learning.

Likewise, this teaching method allows students to acquire a broad and varied range of «soft» competences (the ability to negotiate, lead work groups, manage stress, etc.) in a natural way. This will be particularly useful in their daily professional lives at a later stage.

As a result, you will be able to meet the demands of work in a solicitor’s office and you will be equipped to provide your services to the largest companies in the country, acquiring a level of experience that is equivalent to one year of work in this profession.

Objectives

  1. You will learn about business operations involving the fusion and acquisition of companies that are necessary to meet the demands of business and financial activities.
  2. You will acquire a multidisciplinary practical profile with strong skills and vision in the field of business due to the varied and rigorous content of the curriculum. It has been designed by experts in this particular field and teaching methodology.
  3. You will acquire a wide range of «soft» competences that are highly sought after among professionals who are joining this sector of professional advisory services for companies in fusion and acquisition processes.
  4. You will be prepared for the challenges in your near future, to be innovative, become involved in entrepreneurship and provide value in the field of business operations and company acquisitions.

Who is it aimed at?

This double degree at UIC Barcelona is right for you if you have the following characteristics:

  1. An international mentality, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  2. Energy and versatility.
  3. A strong ability to work hard and continuously make an effort.
  4. Professional and personal ambition

Students will obtain an officially recognised Master's Degree in Law and Legal Practice and a UIC Barcelona-specific Postgraduate Degree in Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions.
