Introduction

The knowledge covered in this course is of great relevance for professionals working or aspiring to work in the Spanish business environment. It equips them with the ability to make informed decisions, assess market opportunities, and understand the challenges and risks faced by companies operating in Spain. This understanding can be used to navigate the complexities of the Spanish business landscape, whether from a Spanish company or from a non-Spanish company that has a close relationship with the Spanish market.

Objectives

The objective is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the economic principles, trends, and challenges that shape the Spanish economy. This includes an examination of the historical development of the Spanish economy, as well as an analysis of the current economic situation in Spain. Through the analysis of economic data and trends, students will develop the ability to critically evaluate the performance of the Spanish economy and its prospects for the future.

Understanding of the key economic indicators and data used to measure the performance of the Spanish economy.

Ability to analyze and interpret economic data and trends in the Spanish economy.

Knowledge of the historical development of the Spanish economy, including key economic milestones and events.

Familiarity with some of the economic challenges that Spain faces.

Your final grade will be the weighted average of the elements below:

1) Midterm exam: 20%

2) Report and presentation: 20%

3) Final exam: 60%

Additionally, those of you who participate in the E-Day, will get +0.5 in your final score.
