Introduction
Production is an essential element in the operation of any television company or audiovisual production company. The television producer is the person responsible for organizing the human and technical resources necessary for the production of a specific audiovisual product, integrating a team of professionals and managing various technical and artistic resources. Therefore, it is essential that you have the necessary knowledge about all the means to be used and, consequently, be able to correctly prepare and manage the corresponding budget, in accordance with the available resources and the objectives set. During the development of the subject we will study the different aspects of television production, the human and technical resources necessary to make a news program and how to prepare a budget.

Objectives
The student must acquire the necessary basic knowledge about how a television company works, particularly with regard to program production. Based on the information received about the technical and human resources involved in a television production, students must be able to establish a work plan and create a budget for the production of a news program, recognizing the different budget items related to the production of such a program and optimizing the resources to be used.

TRAINING ACTIVITY |
Peer learning. The aim of this activity is to ensure that students gain the ability to analyse and be critical. One way of achieving this is by correcting their peers' exercises and results, etc. Each student will be evaluated twice: as both a recipient and a transmitter of critical knowledge. Lectures. In lectures, lecturers/professors not only transmit content or knowledge, but also, and above all else, attitudes, motivation, skills and values, etc. They also ensure that participants can express their opinions and arguments to the other students. Coaching. Monitoring how students learn the content of the subject, either individually or in groups. In the coaching sessions, mistakes will be corrected, queries answered, and exercises and activities to achieve the established objectives will be suggested. E-learning. Virtual learning based on ICT. Focused Praxis. Handing in occasional exercises to learn theory through practice. Practical workshop. A highly practical working activity, where students can acquire skills that are practical or also theoretical (intellectual skills, logical skills, critical skills, intellectual learning skills, study skills, quoting skills, etc). |
Evaluation systems and criteria
In person
The evaluation of the subject will be continued. Each student will be monitored and evaluated based on criteria of attendance, attitude, class participation, teamwork, meeting deadlines, etc.
The following evaluation tests will be carried out:
- After the first month, a questionnaire will be proposed to be completed in person on the concepts worked on in class. The answers must correspond to what was taught in the classroom. The score obtained will mean 20% of the total grade.
- During the second month, a specific work will be carried out in small groups on what has been learned so far. The score obtained will mean 20% of the total grade. The ability to work as a team, compliance with the objectives and deadlines established in the work and the adequacy of the result to the criteria studied will be assessed.
- About the ninth week, students must complete a brief individual work, of a practical nature, on one of the topics developed in class. The score obtained will mean 20% of the total grade. The correct application of the criteria learned about the production in question will be assessed.
- At the end of the quadrimester, individual practical work on the overall subject will be carried out in person, including the preparation of a budget. The score obtained will mean 40% of the total grade. In order to carry out this work, it will be essential to have completed and submitted the 3 previous works on time.
