Introduction
The ethics of communication has not found its path easily. At times, it has focused its efforts on distilling (overly) simple rules of behavior that replace the need for personal reflection and decision-making. Other times, it has become lost in theoretical and abstract discussions that have ultimately led to skepticism among professionals. As an applied knowledge, communication ethics faces the problem of how values and ideal principles can be translated into daily practice, filled with circumstances and complexities.
