Learning outcomes of the subject
The student will be in a position to lead a future implementation of an Advanced Analytics project, approaching it from a multidisciplinary perspective and with the ability to deal with various topics.
Syllabus
It is about carrying out an Advanced Analytics project that contains:
- Inspection, using an EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis), to understand the nature of the input data that make up the challenge
- Coding of a predictive model, using the algorithmic techniques shown, using the languages learned
- Development of an analytical and explanatory visualization that makes the result found intelligible for the challenge speaker
To compile all of this, the module has two deliverables:
- Compilation report of all performance, collecting the process and subsequent steps carried out, together with the code prepared, as an appendix
- Presentation, in defense of the conclusion, in front of a court
Teaching and learning activities
In person
Elaboration of the case, based on a challenge presented by a company.
Carrying out group and face-to-face tutorials, sharing the results achieved and peer review, with the rest of the participating groups, through the presentation of the achievements achieved.
In parallel, and on a scheduled basis, performance is monitored, through follow-up tutorials, by the teachers of the modules involved and where the groups are oriented
Additionally, a preparation training is carried out to make a presentation, during the defense, of a professional nature.
