Introduction

The Advanced Marketing program is taught in English and Spanish, providing a unique opportunity to strengthen the knowledge about Marketing and the link between with the creation of a business plan. The students will master how to create a Business Plan, from the idealization of the product to all the necessary information to “pitch” the idea.

Good oral and written comprehension of English

Objectives

  • Acquisition of knowledge in the field of study.

  • Carrying out studies of the effectiveness of the actions carried out.

  • Manage the key processes and process phases related to the creation of the Business Plan

  • Assess situations, collect and analyze data and be able to make decisions in environments

  • type them.

  • Acquisition of mechanisms and tools for the assessment and resolution of problems.

  • Develop the ability to implement theoretical aspects in practice.

  • Develop skills for continuous process and product improvement and analysis of trends.

Learning outcomes of the subject

  • Clarify business idea, including the product or service they intend to offer, the target market, and the problem they aim to solve.

  • Developing a business plan requires thorough market research.

  • Understand revenue, expenses, profitability, and funding requirements.

  • How to define short-term and long-term objectives, as well as the strategies to achieve.

  • Understand the importance of efficient resource management

  • Be able to pitch their idea and negotiate terms with potential investors or collaborators.

Evaluation systems and criteria

Online



The evaluation system will consist of:

-        a midterm online examination (30% of the final grade)

-        a final written examination (presential at UIC) (70% of the final grade)

 

MIDTERM EXAMINATION

It will be carried online during week 7. The exam will count for 30% of the final grade. The duration and the number/format of questions will be defined during the course by the instructor. Synchronous online sessions prior to the exam can be used for consulting related doubts.

 

FINAL WRITTEN EXAMINATION

The assessment system will consist of a written examination on the content covered throughout the module. The exam will count for 70% of the final grade and will be held at UIC during the examination week. The duration and number/format of questions will be determined by the teacher during the course. Synchronous online sessions during the week prior to the exam may be used to clarify any doubts.

 

To pass the course the students much achieve a minimum of 5 (out of 10 points) in the final grade

 

SECOND ENROLLMENT (REPETITION EXAM).

This session is only for those students who did not pass the course in the first session. In order to pass this second (and any subsequent) session, students will have to take an examination which will count for 100% of the final grade. The maximum final grade for students who go to the second session is 7. The duration and number/format of questions will be decided by the teacher in due course.
