Introduction
Construction 7 is a course that deals with topics that have not been developed in depth in previous courses, basically industrialized construction systems.
Pre-course requirements
Students should have passed all the subjects of Construction, Structural Calculation and M&E engineering of previous courses, although ultimately the Managing Board of ESARQ is responsible for defining the criteria of compatibility between different subjects.
Objectives
The objective of the Construction 7 course is, on the one hand to deepen the knowledge of industrialized construction systems and, on the other hand, to prepare the student to be able to accurately define the technical documentation to be included in the Final Degree Project.
Competences/Learning outcomes of the degree programme
- 12-T - Ability to conceive, calculate, design, integrate in buildings and urban complexes and execute building structures
- 13-T - Ability to conceive, calculate, design, integrate in buildings and urban complexes, and execute interior partition systems, carpentry, staircases and other finished works.
- 14-T - Ability to conceive, calculate, design, integrate in buildings and urban complexes and execute enclosure systems, roofs and other structural work
- 15-T - Ability to conceive, calculate, design, integrate in buildings and urban complexes and execute foundation solutions
- 25 - To acquire adequate knowledge of conventional building systems and their pathology
Learning outcomes of the subject
The learning outcomes should be manifested in the Final Degree Project. This should clearly reflect all the processes related to the materiality, construction systems used, the structure and the technical conditioning of the project.

Prefabricated concrete structures.
Industrialized metallic structures.
TOPIC 2 Industrialized envelope systems.
TOPIC 3 Integrated slab systems.
TOPIC 4 Earth containment systems. Below grade structures.
TOPIC 5 Stairs, design and construction.
Teaching and learning activities
In person
The course is organized in 5 thematic blocks that will be developed throughout the course. These topics will be treated collectively in each session, and will consist of a theoretical class followed by a practical session related to each thematic block and of application and complement with the projects that the student is carrying out in the subjects of the Projects Area. The practical sessions will consist of individual exercises that will be corrected as a group afterwards.
The students will have to hand in the exercises done in class at the end of the class, and they will be corrected selectively in the following session.

Evaluation systems and criteria
In person
The monitoring and presence of the student in all the thematic sessions of the course will be valued, the attendance and participation in the practical sessions will represent 20 % of the final grade.
There will be a practical at the end of the course, which the student will have to present in an open and joint session. This practice will be evaluated and will represent 50% of the final grade.
The remaining 30% of the final grade of the course will be obtained from the 1st CV exam.

The bibliography for reference purposes is the one specified throughout the degree course for the different technical assignments. Reference to specific reading lists may also be recommended in accordance with the work of each student.
