Introduction

The presentation of our research is one of the most important bases for the transfer of information to the scientific community. Given the vast amount of scientific information available on the internet and other communication channels, it is important to develop the ability to synthesise and to highlight the most relevant aspects of the research, which will be key to a successful presentation.

Other aspects of the art of communication are the selection of the right iconography as well as the design of the presentation, your supporting tool when presenting research.

Pre-course requirements

None.

Objectives

To explore the various tools for presentation of research in different formats (lecture, research poster and scientific paper, report).

Learning outcomes of the subject

  • To be able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • To be able to integrate new knowledge through research and study, and deal with the complexity.
  • To be able to read the scientific literature with critical thinking and recognize content within the chosen research line.
  • To be able to analyse and interpret radiological imaging and other tests relevant to the chosen field of interest.
  • To be able to present results in shorter communication format (verbally or using a research poster) at a national or international conference.
