Introduction
Welcome everyone to the Business Consulting course. We are Albert Cagigós and Èric Serra, the professors of this new course. We are Managers in Business Consulting in Deloitte Barcelona.
Albert will be the professor for the classes given on Thursdays at 8h, while Èric on Thursdays at 10.15h.
We hope this course can give you a global overview of what Business Consulting is and we hope you can enjoy the content as much as we enjoy our job on a daily basis.
Objectives
The main objective of this course is to provide you with a global overview of Business Consulting, to explain you how we work and organize as well as presenting the most representative projects of our business
Syllabus
Teaching and learning activities
In person
This course will be divided in two parts: Theoretical classes (explained above) and practical activities:
1. Class activity: Practical examples of consulting cases, tool exercises (XLS and PowerBI), DO's and DONT's of presentations, group dynamics, etc.2. Evaluated activity: Review of an organizational model
3. Evaluated activity: Creation of a dashboard by the CEO of a company
Evaluation systems and criteria
In person
Final grade will be calculated:
- 30% final project
- 10% oral presentation of the final project
- 15% team project 1
- 15% individual project 1
- 20% in-class activities
- 10% class participation
If the weighted average of the course is passed, the course is passed.
If not, an extra project will be due on June to try to recover the class
