Dentsply Sirona-UIC Barcelona Chair in Digital Workflow in Dentistry

The Dentsply Sirona-UIC Barcelona Chair in Digital Workflow in Dentistry is an initiative of the Faculty of Dentistry at UIC Barcelona, in partnership with the company Dentsply Sirona.

The Chair, under the leadership of Dr. Miguel Roig and the coordination of Dr. Joan Soliva, was created with the goal of establishing mechanisms that facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to dentistry projects. With this chair, UIC Barcelona seeks to develop methodologies aimed at boosting inter-area cooperation and providing interdisciplinary solutions to the challenges inherent in the field of Dentistry, with a focus on restorative dentistry, orthodontics, periodontology, surgery and endodontics.

To do so, it is conducting a series of consensual case studies whose planning and treatment involve all areas of dental specialisation. The project represents a fellowship between the different areas and is coordinated by the Chair’s team of directors in efforts to ensure this interdisciplinary treatment is beneficial for patients.
