Professional experience

Principal researcher of the Biomedical Research Group in Gynecology, where she directs the translational research group. Her interest is focused on providing solutions to unmet clinical needs in gynecology, mainly in endometrial cancer and endometriosis. Works on biomarker research to offer innovative solutions and preclinical models to improve personalized medicine.
She is a biologist by training and has been fully dedicated to endometrial cancer research for the last 16 years. Since 2017 he has led his own team at the Gynecology Biomedical Research Group (VHIR) and his research focuses on the implementation of molecular diagnosis and personalized medicine in gynecology, mainly in endometrial cancer (EC) and endometriosis.
Throughout his professional career, he has participated in the development of the first patient-derived murine (PDX) models of CE, and today his group owns one of the largest PDX biobanks in Europe, which they, their partners and pharmaceutical companies to evaluate treatments for EC patients. It is important to highlight that she has also grown as a scientist dedicated to researching biomarkers in gynecological fluids. He worked on the development of the first molecular kit to diagnose EC. Today she is the European coordinator of a multicenter study to develop a non-invasive diagnosis of CE (ERA PerMed), and is the founder of a spin-off (MiMARK Diagnostics S.L.) that aims to develop innovative solutions for health. of the woman.
It has a total of 73 scientific articles with impact factor; 17 of them as main author; and is the inventor of 4 patents.
