Education

Magda Bernaus Vidal holds a degree in art history with an Extraordinary Degree Award (1998) and a doctorate in art history (2016) from the University of Barcelona. He obtained a Research Initiation Collaboration Grant (Ministry of Education and Culture, 1997-1998) and a Predoctoral Grant for the Training of Research Personnel (CIRIT - Generalitat de Catalunya, 1999), and has been part of several research projects funded by national and international bodies and institutions. He currently participates in the research groups of the University of Barcelona "Magna Ars", which is dedicated to the study of the artistic production of the late Middle Ages in the old Crown of Aragon, and "Ligna.cat", which is dedicated to the structural and decorative analysis of wooden roofs in the Mediterranean area.

Professional experience

As a teacher, since 1998 he has taught art history courses in several American university programs in Barcelona—Portland State University, IES Abroad and Council of International Educational Exchange (CIEE)—, and is also associate professor at the International University of Catalonia (UIC). In the field of educational management, since 2007 he has directed the architecture and design programs of the North American university consortium CIEE in Barcelona and, since 2012, the headquarters of this same institution in Barcelona.
