Presentación
El Mediterráneo es un reino de sueños lejanos y realidades duras. A lo largo de este curso, examinaremos el concepto del Mediterráneo y como su evolución desde perspectivas múltiples, estudiaremos el patrimonio cultural y natural del Mediterráneo con toda su diversidad y riqueza, y hablaremos de oportunidades y desafíos contemporáneos que nos pueden juntar o alejar. Durante el curso, se trabajarán casos prácticos y se realizarán actividades con la finalidad de ampliar el horizonte de los alumnos y retar la percepción que tienen del Mediterráneo.
Requisitos previos
No se exige ninguna formación previa para este curso. Solo hace falta un buen nivel de inglés y una predisposición para participar en debates y trabajo colaborativo sobre un amplio abanico de temas mediterráneos.
Objetivos
· Adquirir un entendimiento de la complexidad y la riqueza del Mediterráneo y la evolución del concepto;
· Apreciar el patrimonio mediterráneo por su diversidad, excepcionalidad y fragilidad;
· Entender la actualidad que marca la vida en el Mediterráneo y su vecindad.
Competencias/Resultados de aprendizaje de la titulación
- CN01 - El estudiantado será capaz de analizar e interpretar imaginarios, lenguajes icónicos, simbólicos y de representación en el contexto de las disciplinas humanísticas.
- CN02 - El alumnado será capaz de identificar modelos y políticas propios de diferentes culturas y grupos migratorios, así como de sus contextos históricos.
- CP05 - El estudiantado será capaz de analizar las estructuras socioculturales, históricas y artísticas, desde el respeto por los derechos fundamentales de igualdad entre hombres y mujeres, utilizando un lenguaje que evite el androcentrismo y los estereotipos.
- HB01 - El estudiantado será capaz de reflexionar sobre temas de índole cultural, social, científica o ética a partir de la interpretación de datos relevantes.
- HB02 - El estudiantado será capaz de explicar ideas, problemas y soluciones a un público tanto especializado como no especializado.
- HB06 - El estudiantado será capaz de planificar las tareas y proyectos de manera organizada y estructurada.
- HB08 - El estudiantado será capaz de investigar sobre las diferentes disciplinas humanísticas a partir del análisis y el contraste de la información pertinente.
- HB11 - El alumnado será capaz de analizar críticamente las manifestaciones culturales y artísticas, a partir de la comprensión de su contexto histórico, para el desarrollo de una perspectiva intercultural y una comprensión profunda del mundo contemporáneo.
- HB13 - El estudiantado será capaz de relacionar, a partir de su previa interpretación, datos derivados de las observaciones con las teorías adecuadas.
- HB17 - El estudiantado será capaz de utilizar instrumentos de recopilación de datos con alta capacidad de autonomía, tales como catálogos bibliográficos, inventarios de archivo, fuentes documentales, referencias electrónicas y otros recursos.
Resultados de aprendizaje de la asignatura
Al final del curso, los alumnos deben tener la capacidad para:
Identificar y participar en los debates actuales sobre el Mediterráneo a muchos niveles, explorando la riqueza, diversidad, sofisticación y excepcionalidad del patrimonio mediterráneo; examinar el equilibrio delicado entre los seres humanos y la Naturaleza, así como el impacto de la actividad humano sobre el medioambiente in la región mediterránea; analizar las identidades del Mediterráneo a través de un análisis comparativo y un estudio de los múltiples beneficiarios; estudiar los factores claves (históricos, culturales, políticos, …) que unen o dividen a la gente in la región; desarrollar un entendimiento profundo de términos relevantes; aplicar un pensamiento crítico a diferentes modos de expresión cultural (artísticos, literarios, intangibles, etc.).

Además de las charlas y los debates en clase, la metodología se basa en casos reales al principio de cada clase, así como material lectivo y relevantes actividades extraescolares.

La evaluación de la asignatura se realizará a través de la asistencia y participación en clase, y la simulación de un Modelo de las Naciones Unidas adaptado a un tema de impacto en la cultura y el patrimonio mediterráneos.
