Institute for Advanced Family Studies
2nd International Conference on Family Support
To accompany Imperfect Families
3 & 4 May 2024
It is not enough to want to provide support to be able to provide support
The post-modern cultural context represents a real challenge for the development of family relationships. Faced with this challenge, the question arises: “nowadays who is making an effort to strengthen marriages, to help married couples overcome their problems, to assist them in the work of raising children and, in general, to encourage the stability of the marriage bond?” (Amoris Laetitia No. 52).
To try to respond to this need, in 2022 the Institute for Advanced Family Studies organised the 1st International Workshop on Family Support, which brought together more than 800 people from five continents.
That same year, the Postgraduate Degree in Family Coaching and Guidance was also launched, with the aim of training educators for this urgent task.
This conference will be a way to providing concrete ideas on how to provide support and encourage action in those who wish to participate in them.
