Sustainability and Social Commitment

UIC Barcelona is committed to integrating sustainability and social engagement across all its activities, fostering an institutional culture grounded in environmental responsibility, social transformation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This space brings together clearly organised information on sustainability programmes, institutional policies, plans, goals, achievements, strategic planning, SDG implementation, as well as teaching and research activities, global justice cooperation projects and the university’s commitments. It also provides content on key areas of sustainable campus management, including energy use, mobility, waste and other initiatives that support the transition towards a more responsible, inclusive and sustainable university model. These resources aim to inform, educate and raise awareness among students, university staff and external stakeholders about UIC Barcelona’s commitment to sustainability. Content is regularly updated through news and institutional communications to highlight the progress, projects and actions led by the university community.
