New session of the B-Excellent programme with a seminar by Oriol Tintoré, an aeronautical engineer with NASA experience

50 students from the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences had the opportunity to have a coffee and share ideas with the international entrepreneur and co-executive director of Belvo

The latest session of the B-Excellent programme was an afterwork coffee with Oriol Tintoré Gazulla, former executive director of Verse, and co-founder and co-CEO of Belvo. On 31 March Tintoré shared his passion for technology and his professional experiences at NASA, as CEO of the social pay app Verse, and as founder of start-up Belvo, of which he is currently co-executive director.

The inspirational session was a unique networking opportunity for 50 students at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. It was part of the B-Excellent initiative, which aims to prepare university students to become business leaders of the future through enriching and exclusive experiences connected to the professional world.

The aeronautical engineer expressed his enthusiasm as he spoke to the students of his professional career, sharing his thoughts about what he had learned over the years.

Tintoré also talked about strategy, the world of start-ups and the risks and opportunities of the market. In addition, he highlighted the importance of people in organisations, stressing that teams are “the key element of success” and that as a manager you have to be able to delegate and value strengths and excellence in others.

Finally, on a more personal note, he spoke about conciliation for some time, focusing on the importance of combining personal and professional life and finding a balance between them, and on the importance of leaving the comfort zone in order to grow professionally.

This session of B-Excellent was a very enriching, dynamic and relaxed meeting with an involved, interested audience, with a real desire to interact with the speaker.
