UIC Barcelona hosts the presentation in Barcelona of the book written by palliative physician Enric Benito

The event, promoted by the University's WeCare Chair in collaboration with the Harper Collins publishing house, will feature a discussion between Dr. Benito and Dr. María Nabal, both experts in the field of palliative care

The WeCare Chair has organised a meeting-colloquium with Dr. Enric Benito to present in Barcelona the book El niño que se enfadó con la muerte. The event will take place on  30 May in the Aula Magna of the University's Barcelona Campus.

With a long career dedicated to palliative care, Dr. Enric Benito will share his life and professional experience in this field with those attending the event, and will shed light on how we can help people to die well.

Enric Benito's work deals in a moving and profound way with the subject of death from a positive and hopeful perspective, exploring the emotions, fears and reflections of a child around this inevitable moment in life. Through his work, the author pays tribute to all those who dedicate themselves to palliative care in our society. This recognition is also shared by the WeCare Chair, which focuses its research on the needs of people with advanced diseases at the end of life.

The event will be attended by Dr. Enric Benito who, accompanied by Dr. María Nabal, palliative physician at the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital (Lleida), will show the keys to learning about life when it seems to be coming to an end, freeing us from the fear of the unknown and allowing us to live life to the full.
The colloquium with the two experts will offer a space to reflect on death, how to reach that moment in peace and serenity, and how to best accompany patients and families in this vital stage.
