In the framework of World Modernism Day, Dr Judith Urbano, dean of the Faculty of Humanities of UIC Barcelona, will offer the online conference “Decorative Arts and their Artisans in Catalan Modernisme” on Monday 10 June.

The dean and art expert will talk about some of the key characters in Catalan Modernisme such as Gaspar Homar, the great furniture maker of the time in Barcelona, or Eusebi Arnau, who made sculpture applied to architecture, as well as two designers: Alphons Mucha, the illustrator who designed the advertising for Amatller chocolate, and René Lalique, a jeweller who endowed his pieces with great symbolism.
