Science with Conscience Day

The Faculty of Education Sciences with the support of the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer of UIC Barcelona are organising a Science with Conscience Day next Friday, 5 April to mark the International Day of Conscience.

The event is open to all university staff and its objective is to highlight the work of the University researchers who are developing projects in sustainability, and to make a contribution to open science and citizen’s science, as well as to promote cross-disciplinary research in sustainability.

9.30 a.m. - Presentation of UIC Barcelona sustainability research projects:

10.45 a.m. –  Round table: Opportunities and barriers to sustainability research. Moderated by: Pere Buhigas, director of Radio 4 and director of the UIC Barcelona AI Observatory

11.30 a.m. - Workshop on ecological awareness. Dr Mariona Graell

12.30 pm - Round Table: Making the invisible visible: good practices in citizen sustainability. Moderated by Dr Maite Fuertes

This conference is one of the knowledge transfer activities of the project Measuring the impact of positive actions to mitigate climate change. Climate education at the University and from the University, of SGR Sustainability and Integral Education (SEI), financed by the Agency for the Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR).
