The Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences would like to invite you to the following talk entitled: ‘The cryptocurrency and blockchain revolution.’ At this event both concepts will be discussed and described, as well as the impact they have on today’s economy.  

The talk will begin at 3 p.m. In the Saló de Graus room.  Over the two hours of the event, the following speakers will give a talk: 

- Pablo Agnese, a professor from the department of Economics and Business Organisation at UIC Barcelona: ‘The history of currency and “cryptocurrency”.  Speculation or otherwise?’

- Gabriel Fernández, a professor from the department of Economics and Business Organisation at UIC Barcelona: ‘Blockchain: technical aspects, strong points and problems.’  

-Ángel López, a professor from the department of Applied Economics at the UAB: ‘Ethereum, smart contracts, ICOs.’

 -Montse Guardia, Digital Challenge director at Banc Sabadell: ‘’How will banks add value through Blockchain?’
