The Genetic Architectures research group seeks to merge the biological and the digital to be applied to architecture and design with new technologies, and based on philosophical and humanistic principles. It is an interdisciplinary, inter-institutional and international group, created in 2000, that also addresses the application of genetics in architecture from two points of view: the real, natural and biological, working with geneticists;, and the metaphorical, artificial and digital, using CAD-CAM and AI technologies.
