To evaluate the submitted papers, the training of evaluating panels will be carried out according to the subjects or topics that are presented in the papers.
The panels will consist of teachers from the different faculties of UIC Barcelona.

UIC Barcelona will make a pre-selection of all the projects registered and delivered on the dates established in the call. In this pre-selection the best project will be chosen for the first stage and then an oral defence of the work will take place.
The pre-selection of the works will be made following the criteria of content structure, capacity for analysis and synthesis, originality and scientific/social interest of the topic, relevance of the objectives and pertinence of the conclusions. The list of pre-selected projects will be posted on the University website, along with the dates of oral defence before the assigned panel.
First stage

Oral presentation of selected projects at the Barcelona campus throughout the morning.
In a maximum period of 10 days the finalists will be publicised and interested parties will be informed by email.
Pre-selected projects will have to be orally defended before a panel. The student contestant will have 10 minutes to explain the relevance and interest of their project, the main objective, methodology and conclusions before the panel.
If they consider it appropriate, members of the panel may ask questions and assessments when the student finishes the exposition.
The first stage panels will choose the best projects which will go on to the final.In addition to the criteria established in the preselection, other evaluation criterio for oral presentation will be taken into account: clarity of explanation, gesticulation and verbalisation, motivation of the student and use of graphic resources/presentation. UIC Barcelona reserves the right to modify or add other evaluation criteria in the different calls, depending on different factors that may promote competitiveness, equal opportunities and/or the transparency of the competition.
Final

Oral presentation of the finalist projects. After the deliberation of the panel, the awards will be given out.
Oral presentations shall be public. People who wish to attend both the first stage and final stage of the expositions may do so, but there is a limit on the maximum capacity of the room.
The final will consist of the oral presentation of the project in front of a panel under the same conditions as in the first stage.
The final panel will select the award-winning projects and make them public once all the expositions have been completed and when the deliberation period has ended. The decisions of the panels are not subject to appeal, neither in the pre-trial nor the final stages.
