Again this year, the Faculty of Dentistry is organising the Updates in Dentistry Conference (JAO), aimed at dentists and hygienists who wish to update their knowledge and skills to better respond to the needs of the sector and patients in every areas of dentistry (Prosthetics, Dental Aesthetics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Paediatrics dentistry; Integrated Clinic, Preventive, Periodontics, Surgery, Special Needs Patients and Geriatric Dentistry, Dentalcare Management).

The Sant Cugat Campus will host numerous conference sessions, as well as several workshops by professionals from the different areas of dentistry. There will also be an area for dental companies to exhibit the latest equipment and materials in the sector.

The conference also provides an opportunity for to meet UIC Barcelona Alumni, dental professionals, hygienists and the sector’s main industries. Continuing the initiative from last year, this edition will reunite former students of the 2003 graduating class on their 20th anniversary.

At the same time, and for the first time, the Updates in Dentistry Conference will also feature the Career Forum promoted by the Faculty of Dentistry and the Alumni & Careers department at UIC Barcelona. Directed at young dentists, the aim of the activity is to bring them closer to the work world and help them learn about the different professional opportunities offered by the sector. This year’s edition will feature national and international companies such as Sanitas, Adeslas, Dental Partners, BGB Dentistry, Jober Group, Trabajar en Holland [Work in Holand], Expansion, or Henry Schein.
