UIC Barcelona, through the Department of Alumni & Careers and the Vice-rectorate for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer, is organising the second edition of the Emprèn Entrepreneurship Series. 

The 5th and last session in the Emprèn Entrepreneurship Series will take place on 29 November at 6.00 p.m. On this occasion, we will interview Sergi Bastardas, co-founder and CEO of Colvin.

The 5th and last session in the Emprèn Entrepreneurship Series will take place on 29 November at 6.00 p.m. On this occasion, Francesc Cano, news director at Catalunya Ràdio and lecturer of our University’s Faculty of Communication Sciences, will interview Sergi Bastardas, co-founder and CEO of Colvin.
 

"Colvin, a success story. The digitalization of the traditional sector". 

Colvin is a flower and plants sales start-up company founded by three friends during their university studies. In less than six years, it has managed to digitalise a market as traditional as the flower market, and has managed to find a place in the European market. It is currently present in Spain, Portugal, Italy and France. 

The co-founder and CEO of Colvin will share his experience as an entrepreneur and the path followed since the company's creation in 2016, with well-known investors such as Pau Gasol.

We will also talk about entrepreneurship in traditional sectors, the difficulties or facilities of being such a young entrepreneur, and we will analyse, from his point of view, the creation, validation and implementation of a business idea.

• 6.30 p.m. Welcome by Alfonso Méndiz, rector of UIC Barcelona.
• 6.35 p.m.  Interview with Sergi Bastardas, co-founder and co-CEO of Colvin, by Francesc Cano, lecturer of the Faculty of Communication Sciences and news director at Catalunya Ràdio.
• 7.12 p.m. Q&A
• 7.30 p.m. Closing and refreshments
