This year’s workshop will focus on the systematic assessment of the needs of patients and their families. It will explore the latest developments in the field of palliative care in relation to the research projects led by the Chair. Several clinical cases will be presented and participants will be encouraged to contribute to the discussion.

 

The meeting will also feature a talk from Dr Keith Wilson from the Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre and Dr Alison Applebaum from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York.

 

The event will have a multidisciplinary outlook and is open to psychologists, medical professional, nurses, social workers and other healthcare professionals.  Students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences are also invited to take part.
