Cicle Emprèn | Entrepreneurship in the health sector with AI
UIC Barcelona, through the Department of Alumni and the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer, is organising the fourth edition of the Entrepreneurship Series in 2024 under the title Endeavour
The aim of the session is to stimulate participants' entrepreneurial spirit through real examples and speakers who can inspire us with their stories, as well as providing them with tips for entrepreneurship in the health sector.
Date: Wednesday 16 October
Time: from 2.30 to 4.00 p.m.
Place: Sant Cugat Campus, Education Classrooms P0A01 and P0A02
Speakers:
- Gabriel Maeztu, (Alumni Medicina ‘17) co-founder of IOMED. IOMED develops AI-powered technology for health data activation. Its natural language processing system is able to standardise structured and unstructured healthcare data, adding value to healthcare organisations and leading the way towards a global data-driven healthcare ecosystem.
- Daniel Oliva Laucirica, founder and CEO of EMILY.AI®. It is the world's first AI-powered holistic pulmonary care system.
Moderator:
- Oscar Porcel, lecturer at UIC Barcelona and and Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Solutia, a leading consultancy that offers solutions in various areas related to the health sector.
