Cinema Group: "Rope"
Rope (1948), by Alfred Hitchcock, is a classic crime thriller, a genre made famous by its director. Two students, convinced they have committed the perfect crime, organise a get-together with friends, and no one except them knows there is a dead body hidden in a chest in the living room. In this film, the director masterfully controls how much of the plot is revealed to the audience and characters. With this project, in addition to taking risks in terms of content, Hitchcock also took risks in terms of form, as he wanted the film to be appear as one single continuous shot. While the technical limitations of the time prevented him from doing so, his genius prevailed, and he succeeded in creating this illusion
All films will be screened in their original language, with subtitles.
