Cross-Disciplinary Workshop on Sustainability: How can we reduce our own carbon footprint without sacrificing our quality of life?

UIC +Sostenible Barcelona Campus

This workshop aims to take an interdisciplinary look at sustainable consumption, analysing the relationship between consumption and saving the planet by following Goal 12 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

By presenting student research projects and listening to and conversing with experts from different disciplines, we will explore issues such as:

  • How can we be more sustainable in our daily lives?
  • How can we reduce our carbon footprint based on our clothes choices?
  • How can we be responsible in our consumption in order to contribute to sustainable development?
  • Can advertising contribute to sustainable consumption?
  • The more we consume, the happier we are. Does this ring true?
  • Plastic consumption: what impact does it have and how can it be reduced?
  • Is the circular economy a solution to reducing the carbon footprint of companies?
