The Faculty of Communication Sciences is organising a screening and debate on “Whiplash”, a film that was directed and written by Damien Chazelle, winner of the Best Director Oscar for “La La Land”.

The film tells the story of a young musician who is trying very hard to get as far as he can in his music career as a jazz drummer. A conductor takes out his frustration on him, which means that the young man begins to lose his humanity in his fight to triumph musically at a national level.

The screening is part of a series of screenings and film debates called “Classics”, organised by the Faculty of Communication Sciences.
