Next Friday, 5 May, the first Friday Mass of the month will be celebrated. This month, it will be for the month of Mary.

Catholics have been devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus since it began with Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque. This first Friday devotion promises the mercy of Jesus at the time of death to all who receive Holy Communion on each First Friday for 9 consecutive months.

The Chaplaincy Service has promoted this tradition during the academic year by preparing the mass for students on the first Friday of the month in a special way.

As we near the end of the academic year, this month of May will be the last mass that students will prepare in this special way.
