The University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) is the top public university in the world according to the most prestigious rankings. In 2015, UIC Barcelona become the first UC Berkeley Summer Sessions partner in Spain and is now part of a network of seventy global partners. Through this programme, a select group of students from UIC Barcelona may attend summer courses with academic recognition. This means that the credits they take at UC Berkeley will be recognised as equivalent to subjects from their degree at UIC Barcelona.
