This seminar, organised by the UIC Barcelona Equality Unit, will shed light on the rise of women in science. By way of example, the event will focus on the trajectories of two women from different generations, who have experienced different obstacles and drivers over the course of their careers.

• Mara Dierssen Sotos, neurobiologist and coordinator of the Neurobehavioral Phenotyping Group at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG)
• Mónica Roca, engineer, vice president of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and director of the isardSAT Group, an enterprise that provides services and solutions in earth observation, founded following her stay at the European Space Agency.
