Journal Club: Efficient Generation of Human Embryonic Stem Cell-Derived Corneal Endothelial Cells by Directed Differentiation

Regenerative Medicine Research Institute Campus Sant Cugat
Disease and injury to the cornea are leading causes of blindness worldwide. The gold standard treatment for many corneal diseases relies on surgical replacement with cadaveric corneas. Nevertheless, there is a lack of available donor corneas. For this reason, the ability to generate corneal endothelial cells in vitro is of considerable clinical interest.

Speaker: Begoña Maria Bosch Canals, Regenerative Medicine Research Institute researcher.
