In the framework of World Art Nouveau Day, Dr Judith Urbano, dean of the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Humanities, will present “Modernism and the concept of ‘Total Work of Art’: architecture and decorative arts at the turn of the century” on Monday 13 June at the university.

Dr Urbano will analyse how the architects of the time worked with other artists and craftsmen to shape the houses they designed: ironwork, mosaics, sculpture and glass, among others.
