On the occasion of the opening ceremony of the 2024 Student Academic Conference (SAC), Pere Buhigas, Director of the Observatory on Artificial Intelligence and New Technologies and Deputy Director of Transmedia Projects at Radio Televisión Española, will give a lecture entitled: "Artificial intelligence and misinformation. Advice for navigating content".

Every year since 2010, UIC Barcelona has organized a university conference. Honouring its identity as a university, it fosters intellectual habits for the search of truth.

This year's theme, Caring for the Future, aims to examine the role of caring for the present in specific fields, in order to reach a better future, through a transversal and interdisciplinary dialogue that can be very stimulating and transforming. And it will be carried out through study and scientific rigour.

• 20.10 pm Speech.
• 21.00 pm End of the event and refreshments.
