Presentation of Final Degree Projects of UIC Barcelona School of Architecture
July 12, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
July 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On 12 and 13 July, students in their final year at UIC Barcelona School of Architecture will defend their Final Degree Projects (TFG) at the headquarters of the College of Architects of Catalonia (COAC).
With the title "Extended Limits: Diagonal's Journey from Cityscape to Green Escape", the projects offer solutions for transforming the B-23, the extension of Avenida Diagonal to the river Llobregat.
The objective is to redesign this infrastructure and its surroundings to transform it into a friendly space for pedestrians, which in turn connects all the municipalities in the area: Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despí, Esplugues de Llobregat, Sant Just Desvern and Barcelona.
The projects developed by architecture students thus respond to the current challenge of the transformation of suburban areas in large European cities. Each project also applies criteria and methodology to achieve fully accessible, sustainable buildings designed with all the rigour of solid structural and urban work.
During the TFG presentation, the ROCKWOOL Sustainability Awards , the Schindler Accessibility Awards, and the Daikin – Schneider Electric Facilities Awards will also be presented.
Open to the public.
