Presentation of the Final Degree Projects of UIC Barcelona School of Architecture

Seu del Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC), Sala Mirador, planta 8
Plaça Nova 5 08002 Barcelona

From July 9th to 11th, the last-year students of UIC Barcelona School of Architecture will defend their Final Degree Projects (TFG) at the headquarters of the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya, COAC - The Architects' Association of Catalonia.

Entitled Sewing Edges, Regenerating Fabrics. The opportunity of Besòs Neighborhoods as an urban contemporary essay,  the projects offer solutions to weave the city together through the regeneration of the Besòs neighborhoods.

The objective is that students' projects propose solutions to overcome the territorial barriers caused by infrastructures such as highways and connect the neighborhoods with each other, creating a more permeable and habitable urban space.

The projects developed by the Architecture students thus respond to the current issues of Barcelona's urban agenda, such as the recovery of fluvial spaces, the connection of peripheral neighborhoods, and the promotion of sustainability and social cohesion.

Within the framework of the presentation of the TFG, the ROCKWOOL Sustainability Awards, the Schindler Architecture Awards for Accessibility and the Daikin – Schneider Electric TFG Award for Architecture Installations will be awarded.

The event is open to the public.
