What?
A semester-long course consisting of 45 on-site hours and 30 hours of online work (5.5 ECTS) in which you will develop the basic communication tools necessary to express yourself simply in everyday life. This course includes a final A1-level (CEFR) CLUC exam, which could earn you a certificate recognised by the Government of Catalonia.

Certification
A basic A1-level Catalan certificate recognised by the Government of Catalonia. To earn a certificate, you must attend at least 90% of the on-site sessions, successfully complete the online and class-based activities and pass the CLUC exam.
Credit recognition
This course has a workload of 5.5 ECTS credits. If you are a UIC Barcelona undergraduate student, you can request recognition of 3 ECTS credits for taking the course. If you are an Erasmus student, you can include this course in your learning agreement. For mobility students, the number of credits recognised for this course will depend on your home university.
