Multilevel English Certificate preparation workshop

What is it?

The workshop consists of 10 onsite hours via live video conference with the objective of giving you tips to pass the EIM multilevel English exam. The workshop includes the official exam to certify the B1, B2 or C1 level of English, which will be held in person at the University of Barcelona.

What is EIM multilevel English exam?

The EIM is a language proficiency certificate issued by the Universitat de Barcelona and is recognised by the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (the CRUE).

With this certificate you can certify your level of English at the University and in the professional field, it will also allow you to work in the public sector or to participate in a mobility program.
 

Who is it for?

Members of the university community (students, PAS and PDI staff members) and external parties.

How does it work?

Live online classes via video conference.

Live online sessions: The teacher will impart the classes live to the whole group during the assigned timetable through the Google Meet platform. The video conference sessions will be recorded, and the material of each class will always be available in the virtual classroom. If you are unable to attend a session or part of the content is not clear, you can consult it as many times as you want.

Where and when?

1st semester

Virtual campus, 5 sessions: From 19 October to 16 November, Thursday, from 15 pm to 17 pm.

Multilevel English accreditation exam (B1, B2, and C1)

Written test: November 17th, 2023, at 10 am, at the University of Barcelona.

Oral test: November 17th, 2023 (date and time will be assigned once registration is closed).

2nd semester

Virtual campus, 5 sessions: February 12th to 26th, Monday and Wednesday, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Multilevel English accreditation exam (B1, B2, and C1)

Written test: March 1rst 2024, at 10 am, at the University of Barcelona.

Oral test: March 1rst 2024, (date and time will be assigned once registration is closed).

Accreditation

UB-specific level certificate.

In addition, you will also receive a certificate of completion of the course. To pass the course it is essential to have attended at least 80% of the classes.

Online level test

To ensure that you have the appropriate level to enrol in the course, you must follow these steps:

1. Take this level test.
2. Contact us at multiling@uic.cat and we will tell you the result of your test.
3. Once we confirm the level you can enrol in the corresponding course.

To do this, it is necessary to have enrolled and passed a sub-level B2.1 or B2.2 language course, or B2 level course during the year of the call.
