Teaching and Research Staff

Preparatory courses for C1 and C2 level exams, with a total duration of 6 hours, spread over two 3-hour face-to-face sessions.

These courses aim to familiarise participants with the official CLUC Catalan exam by CIFALC, which grants a certificate recognised by the Government of Catalonia. The exams are held on the second Saturday in February and the second Saturday in June.

To access these courses, prior knowledge of C1 or C2 level is required, depending on the case. You can determine your level by following the instructions for the placement test, which can be found here.

The training, which includes exam rights, is free for C1 level and costs €60 for C2 level.

In addition, the Catalan courses offered to the entire university community are available to PAS and PDI staff at a very reduced rate. For more information, please email us at multiling@uic.cat.

The courses are face-to-face, last 16 hours, and are held once a week from 2 to 3 p.m. They are offered in two semesters: from October to February and from March to June.

This training is free for PAS and PDI staff, and is aimed at strengthening language skills for the academic and administrative environment. Course delivery is subject to a minimum number of registrations.

The languages offered are beginner French, intermediate English and advanced English.

In addition, the English courses offered to the entire university community are available to PAS and PDI staff at a very reduced rate.  For more information, please email us at multiling@uic.cat. 
 

The CLUC-EMI is an official certificate aimed at academic staff interested in proving their linguistic competence for teaching in English at university level. A free 2-hour preparation workshop is offered via videoconference to help candidates become familiar with the exam. For more information, please write to us at multiling@uic.cat.

Language tutoring service for PAS and PDI staff, by appointment.

These sessions last 2 hours and are scheduled according to availability.

This is not a translation or revision service for institutional texts, but rather support for users to improve their written and spoken English skills.
