Ágora Social and UIC Barcelona join forces in a new course aimed at fundraising for foundations

Fundraising is a key issue in the activity of non-profit organisations working to support a variety of social causes. That is why UIC Barcelona and Ágora Social have jointly organised a course that provides an overview of the basic aspects of fundraising: sources of finance, the methods of exploiting them, the skills required, strategy, applied ethics, etc.

The course also addresses legal and fiscal aspects of NGOs and the taxation applied to different types of individual and corporate collaboration: sponsorship, patronage, contributions provided through services or in kind, etc. 

The aim is that participants have an understanding of the full range of possibilities an organisation has available to it to fund itself and the requirements it needs to fulfil to take advantage of them with a strategic approach. 

The programme will take place from 1 April until 15 June 2016 based on semi-distance learning. Students can attend face-to-face classes both in Barcelona and Madrid on the following dates: 

Barcelona 

4 sessions: Saturdays, from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.

Madrid 

4 sessions: Fridays, from 4.00 p.m. to 8 p.m.
