Albert Jovell Institute of Public Health and Patients at Sixth National Congress on Chronic Patient Healthcare

Emilia Arrighi, the Head of Research at the UIC Albert Jovell Institute of Public Health and Patients, presented the results of the study «Journey of a Chronic Patient» at the Sixth National Congress of Chronic Patient Healthcare, which took place in Seville on Thursday, 27 March 2014.

In her presentation, Arrighi highlighted the healthcare needs of people affected by chronic illnesses and their families. The study was supported by the Spanish Patient Forum and the company Esteve.

The congress included the very first National Conference of Active Patients, which held a flash fiction and poetry competition in memory of Dr. Albert Jovell. First prize was awarded to the winner on Saturday, 28 March 2014, by Maria Dolors Navarro, the Director of the Institute. A short book including a selection of the texts entered in the competition was published for the occasion.
