Around 500 people attended the IX Conference on Updates in Dentistry in the Faculty of Dentistry

The Faculty of Dentistry at UIC Barcelona on 7 and 8 October organised the IX Conference on Updates in Dentistry, held at the Official College of Dentists and Stomotologists of Catalonia (COEC). Almost 500 people came along to the sessions and to visit the stalls.

The event, aimed at dentists and dental assistants/hygienists, involved around fifty talks and practical workshops in all areas. As on past occasions, the speakers were professors, lecturers and students from UIC Barcelona. Additionally, during the event the Cortada award was presented to the best final master’s degree project for the 2015-2016 academic year. This award bears the name of the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at UIC Barcelona. On this occasion the award was given to Luis Carlos Garza, a student on the Master’s degree in Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry programme.
