Catalina Graff «the Talented Students competition is an opportunity to learn, and to challenge yourself»

Registration for the third edition of the Talented Students competition organised by InfinitC is now open. We talked to Catalina Graff, a Business Administration and Management student at UIC Barcelona, who was a finalist in the last edition.

“I heard about the competition through an email I received from UIC Barcelona and decided to find out more on the competition’s website.

I was in third year and I could see that it was a good opportunity to apply my knowledge to real life and find the path I wanted to follow.  Also, the idea of being able to obtain a work placement in a big company was also one of my biggest reasons for participating.

The first thing I had to do was to create a briefing about a product called Yatekomo by Gallina Blanca. The task included classifying different brands, creating a brand image, comparing and analysing the competition, identifying reasons for consumption and generating new ideas or product ranges for company growth.

One of the competition rules is that the briefing must be carried out individually.  This was not a problem for me, since it is work I prefer to present alone, in order to generate my own ideas without the need to depend on other people. I enjoyed the experience so much that this year I participated again.  The truth is that I learned a lot and acquired a network of contacts which will be useful to me in the future.

The Talented Students competition is an opportunity to learn, to challenge yourself, to find out what to expect in the world of work, get to know people who are experienced and successful, display your talent and even discover the path you would like to follow”.
