The Chair in Public Economy present at the 2016 EuHEA Conference in Hamburg
Professors Toni Mora, Dolores Gil and Marta Trapero presented papers that were the result of their research undertaken under the auspices of the Chair in Public Economy: The Evaluation of Healthcare and Educational Policies at the 2016 EuHEA Conference. This year the conference took place in Hamburg.
Dolors Gil presented a paper entitled "A taxonomy of treating and preventing programs for alcohol intake: A systematic review of economic evaluation" at the round table on "Economics of Substance Abuse".
Toni Mora also gave a presentation entitled "Healthy / unhealthy teenage breakfast choices: an experiment combining a nutritional training programme and the promotion of unhealthy products” at a round table on “Prevention and Experimental Health Economics”. In his talk, Dr Mora talked about the results of a study on healthy eating undertaken with the Department for Health in the Catalan Government. The results of this study were made public at UIC Barcelona in January.
During his visit, Dr Mora participated as a delegate for Spain in the Assembly of the European Association of Health Economics.
The conference brought together around 800 participants. The next meeting organised by the EuHEA will be the 3rd EuHEA PhD Student-Supervisor and Early Career Researcher Conference, which will be hosted by UIC Barcelona between 7 and 9th September. This conference represented a unique opportunity for people starting out in a career in health economics to become more informed.
