Cooperation agreement between the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture and the Catalan Institute of Construction Technology

The agreement will help School of Architecture students to undertake curricular work experience by participating in research projects.

UIC Barcelona's School of Architecture and the Catalan Institute of Construction Technology (ITeC) have signed a cooperation agreement via which both institutions agree to help architecture students undertake their curricular work placements by participating in occasional research projects.

This 5-year agreement was signed on 21 January 2016, between Dr Javier Gil Mur, Rector of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya and Mr Francisco Diéguez Lorenzo, Genera Director of ITeC. The agreement was to jointly undertake scientific programmes which imply the creation and maintenance of mixed centres and services, cooperation on occasional projects and on publications that are of shared interest, edited or co-edited by one of the institutions.  Additionally, both institutions committed to exchanging information and advising each other mutually in terms of planning, organising and undertaking studies and research on topics that are of shared interest.

Finally, School of Architecture students at UIC Barcelona will also benefit from the award of credits to attend courses or activities organised by ITEC which the university considers to be of interest to their students and academic activities such as postgraduate courses, seminars or conferences, organised by the two entities.
