Dr Berbegal gives a workshop at Birkbeck, University of London about QCA as an analytical tool
Birkbeck, University of London, invited our lecturer to explain how this method helps to understand studied phenomena better
Associate lecturer in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, Jasmina Berbegal, gave a workshop on Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) at Birkbeck, University of London.
During the workshop, Dr Berbegal introduced participants to the technical and empirical foundations of QCA. She combined theoretical explanations with practical exercises to help ensure overall comprehension. She provided an introduction to what QCA means, after which she proceeded to underline its importance for academic literature, as well as how the evaluation and interpretation of results should be carried out.
This innovative approach is particularly useful in the field of administration, since QCA is efficient enough to deal with complexity and to study cases as a group and condition rather than treat each variable independently.
