Dr Berbegal undertakes a research stay at King’s Business School

The purpose was to collaborate on a study on enterprising universities with lecturers from the Strategy, International Management & Entrepreneurship Research Group

In late July, Dr Jasmina Berbegal put an end to a three-month research stay at King’s College London’s King’s Business School.

The purpose of the stay was to collaborate on a study on enterprising universities with lecturers from the Strategy, International Management & Entrepreneurship Research Group. More specifically, she studied how the practices of corporate entrepreneurship are applied in universities and the effect an enterprising approach can have on results from a strategic point of view.

During the stay, the tenured lecturer in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at UIC Barcelona met with lecturers from University College London and the Institute of Education with whom she had worked on previous studies.

From 20-22 June, she also took part as a speaker in the 2018 University-Industry Interaction Conference. During the event, which took place in London, Dr Berbegal presented two research projects developed with fellow UIC Barcelona lecturer Dolors Gil on the role of universities in the creation and promotion of enterprising ecosystems.
