Dr Christian Villavicencio, professor of Bioethics and Palliative Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, recently received, alongside his team, one of six grants awarded by the Víctor Grífols i Lucas Foundation to promote research in the field of Bioethics.

This grant recognises the work done by Dr Villavicencio, who specialises in geriatrics and palliative care, and his team in the project “Advanced Care Planning (ACP) and communication in patients with complex chronic disease and with advanced chronic disease in social healthcare settings”.

The main objective of the Víctor Grifols i Lucas Foundation is to promote bioethics through dialogue with specialists from different areas of knowledge. The Foundation therefore strives to foster ethical attitudes among organisations, companies and individuals active in the field of human health.
